Susie Fono Review

Last Wednesday night we had the great chance to meet a survivor of the Holocaust in Susie Fono as well as her husband. In my previous conferences were I have met survivors, I haven't quite met a person like Susie. Many of the other presenters I have seen were either still mad, and living in the past about their stories, but Susie was very different than the rest of them.

During the entire presentation, Fono obviously is still hurt with the effects of the Holocaust like anyone should, but she hasn't let it effect her in living her life today. I felt a sense of motivation from Susie the entire time and it just seemed like she moved on from her experience in the past and kept moving forward, which I greatly admire.

It felt pretty nice to know I had the chance to hear from a person that has come along way in her life, and like I previously stated, it seemed like she had enjoyment out of it and was not that negative about what she went through, I think bringing her husband helped her with that.

  1. I agree that she moved on from her bad experience from the holocaust. She is still hurt from it, but she let it be known that it is the past and its not slowing her down now in the present. Its motivating knowing someone can take that horrible experience and turn it into a positive one.
